Augusto Mendes
Augusto José Mendes is a postdoctoral researcher interested in cognitive aging and Alzheimer’s disease, with a focus ranging from prevention to diagnosis. He holds two MSc degrees in Psychology and Neuroscience from the University of Minho (Portugal) and the University of Lille (France), and a PhD in Basic Psychology from the University of Minho. He is also a Senior Teaching Assistant in the Principles and Practice of Clinical Research program at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. He joined the Laboratory of Neuroimaging of Aging (LANVIE) at the University of Geneva in 2023, where he coordinates the European project PREDICTOM and conducts research on the integration of neuroimaging and fluid biomarkers to refine disease models, improve early detection, and support dementia prevention strategies.
