Giacomo Koch
Professor Giacomo Koch is a neurologist and neuroscientist, Full Professor of Physiology at the University of Ferrara and director the Non-Invasive Brain Stimulation Laboratory at the Santa Lucia Foundation IRCCS in Rome since 2006. Trained at University College London, he is internationally recognized as a world leader in Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) applied to cognitive functions and Alzheimer’s disease. His highly translational research integrates TMS and tDCS with advanced neuroimaging and clinical neurophysiology (EEG) to investigate and treat neurodegenerative disorders. He is the author of more than 350 international publications (H index: 75), principal investigator of multiple clinical trials, and ranks among the top global experts in non-invasive brain stimulation.
