Miia Kivipelto leads the Nordic Brain Network, with affiliated teams in Finland and the UK, and holds a part-time professorship at Imperial College London. In September 2025, she was appointed Rodman Family Endowed Professor of Gerontology at the Yale School of Nursing and Professor of Gerontology at the Yale School of Medicine. Her research focuses on the prevention, early diagnosis, and treatment of cognitive impairment and dementia, including leadership of the landmark FINGER trial and the World-Wide FINGERS network.A highly cited researcher with 510+ publications (H-index 97), she has received numerous awards and is a frequent international expert speaker.
