Naaheed Mukadam
Dr Mukadam is Professor of Psychiatry at UCL's Division of Psychiatry and a Consultant Psychiatrist with the UCLH Mental Health Liaison Team. Her research interests include ethnic differences in dementia epidemiology, diagnosis and care as well as dementia prevention at population level. Dr. Mukadam is a member of the Lancet standing Commission on Dementia Prevention, Intervention and Care, collaborating with international experts to identify best practices in dementia prevention, diagnosis and care. She is also a member of the European Consortium on Cross-Cultural Neuropsychology(ECCroN) which is an international group that aims to improve the assessment of culturally and linguistically diverse individuals across Europe. Dr. Mukadam is co-lead of the dementia prevention theme in the NIHR Dementia and Neurodegeneration Policy Research Unit at Queen Mary University London. She is also a member of Interdem (a pan-European network of researchers collaborating in research on and dissemination of Early, Timely and Quality Psychosocial Interventions in Dementia).
